In September 1981 HOLLINGSWORTH & VOSE announced the formation of a joint-venture in Mexico, with the main objective of manufacturing automotive, heavy duty and industrial cellulosic filter media.

        In November 1983 we started production and began supply to domestic customers which had previously been serviced from H&V's US manufacturing locations.

        From 1986 to 1990 with primary focus begin given to service and quality standards, we consolidated our presence en Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

        In 1994, with capital investments in state-of-the-art research, development and quality control equipment, we successfully expanded our business globally. Strategically located on the Pacific Rim, HOVOMEX exports more than 22 countries worldwide.

        Our plans are well defined and our goals are visible to everyone. HOVOMEX has the largest market share for manufacture and supply of cellulosic filter media in Mexico and Latin America.
